Joan Heidorn

Before Spur Capital’s foundation, Joan worked with its other founding members at their predecessor fund, where she was COO and a member of the investment committee. Prior to her involvement in the fund-of-funds industry beginning in 1994, Joan served as Group Controller for a manufacturing subsidiary of a multi-national company and worked for a group of venture capital-backed medical devices companies. Now since being with Spur since the beginning, Joan has been a key part in raising five successive funds-of-funds, all consistently achieving top performance for institutional investors.
Joan holds a BS and MA in Accounting (Taxation) from Florida Atlantic University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
Now that her children are in college, Joan lives in Bartlesville with her husband and Bouvier de Flanders dog, Heidi.
